Projet humanitaire au Cambodge: Forage de 2 puits d'eau potable

Cambodia- Access to Potable water!

We want to contribute to a population in need! 

We forget how fortunate we are and take for granted access to potable water. Not everyone has this luxury. Small communities in Cambodia do not have this access and therefor walk several kilometers every day to collect non-potable water from a surface well .... and many are sick as a conséquence, especially young children.

Together with a non profit organization, we want to ensure water access to a small community of 50 or so people. For the amount of approximately $2000, a well can be foraged to achieve this goal that will supply them with a life-long supply.

Avril: Népal (5 sem.) pour un 25 jours de trek en montagne

Cambodge- Accèss à de l'eau potable!

Nous voulons contribuer à une bonne cause pour une population dans le besoin!

Nous oublions et prenons pour acquis le luxe que nous avons d'avoir de l'eau potable en ouvrant le robinet. Malheureusement, tous n'ont pas cette chance. De petits communautés au Cambodge ne l'ont pas. Ils doivent marcher plusieurs kilomètres chaque jour pour se rendre à un puits de surface pour y récolter de l'eau non-potable... qui en rends plusieurs malade, surtout de jeunes enfants.

Ensemble avec une ONG, nous voulons contribuer et assurer un accès à de l'eau potable pour une cinquantaine d'habitants. Pour environ $2000, il est possible de faire creuser un puits qui assurera l'accès pour toute leurs vie.

Alors, qu'est-ce qu'on met dans les sac?!

Backpacking with 2 children for 8 months does necessitate some planning. many have asked us what the content of our bags looks like... so here it is. I do have to say the content changed slightly just before we left, we removed the running shoes from mom and Éloïse keeping only those for Alex since he intends on jogging and Oliviers knowing they also fit Éloïse :) The key has really proven to be the luggage cubes that keep everything so well organized! When living in your bags this is a real delight!

Éloïse
- 1 warm coat, 1 rain coat and rain pants, 1 sun hat
- Hikking boots and sandales (sneekers removed before departure)
- 2 t-shirts, 2 camisoles,1 long sleeve shirt
- 1 pant (unzips to shorts), 1 legging

 
- 2 shorts and 1 dress
- 2 bathing suites and a water t-shirt
​- Hat, neck warmer, warm mitts and light mitts ​
